Tennis finishes Pinnacle, tops Red Mtn.

Xavier Prep’s tennis team has improved its record to 5-1 with two victories this week.

On Monday (March 5), the Gators finished off Phoenix Pinnacle 8-1 in a match that had been interrupted by rain on Feb. 27.

Xavier singles winners against Pinnacle were Erica Stutz, Emily Even, Maddy Corley, Lorelei Glidden, Kate Straneva and Caroline Armknecht. Doubles winners were Stutz-Even and Glidden-Armknecht.

On Tuesday (March 6), XCP came back with a 9-0 shutout of visiting Mesa Red Mountain.

Xavier has two more matches this week, on Wednesday (March 7) at home against Scottsdale Chaparral, and on Thursday (March 8) on the road against Phoenix Horizon.
