He covered high school sports on several occasions as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State sports. Volleyball, swim and dive teams suffer first losses

After winning its first four matches, the Xavier volleyball team ran into its first major roadblock of the season on Thursday night (Sept. 11). The Gators were swept in three games in a road match at Phoenix Desert Vista (Ahwatukee).
Scores were 18-25, 21-25 and 24-26.
Xavier appeared to struggle at the defensive end, with only five team blocks.
Libero Kristen Largay came up with 15 digs and Molly Scheel had 13 digs.
Khalia Lanier had 18 kills.
The Gators return to the road on Monday (Sept. 15) with a match at Mesa High.

The XCP swim and dive team was neck and neck with Phoenix Pinnacle all afternoon on Thursday at Brophy College Preparatory, but fell 96-94.
