He covered high school sports on several occasions as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State sports. Xavier builds 16-shot lead in state golf tourney

The XCP golf team took a good first step toward its fourth straight Division I championship and 32nd title overall on Thursday (Nov. 6), taking a 16-shot lead over second-place Phoenix Pinnacle at Aguila Golf Course in Laveen.
Xavier scored 290, Pinnacle 306.
The Gators’ Alisa Snyder was the overall individual leader after shooting a four-under-par 68.
Other XCP players: Madison Kerley, even-par 72 (third place), Emily Mahar 73 (fifth), Mikayla Fitzpatrick 77 (tie for 12th) and Elizabeth Caldarelli 78 (15th).
Most of the Xavier players are due to tee off in Friday’s (Nov. 7) final round between 9:30-10 a.m.
