DON KETCHUM is a native of Phoenix. He was a sportswriter for The Arizona Republic/The Phoenix Gazette for nearly four decades. He covered high school sports on several occasions as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State sports. From 2008-14, he was a staff writer for AIA365.com, the web site of the Arizona Interscholastic Association.

Soccer seniors collect postseason honors



Four Xavier senior soccer players were honored by azcentral.com on Sunday (March 15) for an outstanding 2014-15 season.
Forward Tessa Zaccagnio led the way by being selected to two honor teams – All-Arizona and All-Division I First Team. She was the Gators’ leading scorer.
Joining Zaccagnio on the All-Division I First Team was midfielder Amanda Lane.
The All-Division I Second Team featured two Xavier players – defender Kendall Ward and midfielder Kelly Harris.
Way to go, Gators !!
