The event was moved to Shalimar Golf Course in Tempe after being held in previous years at the Rolling Hills Golf Course in Tempe. Approximately 2,000 runners representing schools from around the state participated. There were six total divisions, three girls and three boys.
The top finisher for the Gators over the three-mile course was senior Ally Novacek, who had a time of 20:28.86 and finished in the 18th spot.
