He covered high school sports on several occasions as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State sports. From 2008-14, he was a staff writer for, the web site of the Arizona Interscholastic Association.

Newspaper honors XCP fall athletes

More Xavier Prep fall sports athletes have been honored for their efforts in 2015.
Five girls who helped the Gators win their third straight Division I badminton championship were recently recognized by The Arizona Republic/
Kirielle Singarajah, who fell to Phoenix Desert Vista’s Karen Guo in the individual singles title match (separate from team competition) but then came back to defeat Guo in the team semifinals, was named to the media outlets’ All-Arizona first team as a singles player.
A pair of XCP doubles teams were All-Arizona second-team selections.
They were Sydney LaPierre and Emily Woodrow and Tatum Clarke and Laura Pearl.
Swimmer Allie Worrall had a strong finishing kick this season.
She won the 100-yard freestyle at the Division I state meet and was named to the All-Arizona Team.
