Balanced effort helps Xavier soccer win 10th game

Xavier Prep’s soccer team reached double figures in wins on Friday night (Jan. 8) with a 5-0 road victory over Goodyear Millennium.
The Gators (10-2), the top team in Division I power points according to the Arizona Interscholastic Association, got a balanced offensive effort.
Five different players scored goals – freshman Kyla Ferry, freshman Allison Broderick, sophomore Nicole Hook, sophomore Abby Hubbard and junior Madie Amavilah.
Hook also provided an assist, along with senior Alexis Allard, junior Katie Moore, junior Natalie Duque and junior Quiqui Hita.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kinsey Ehmann recorded her sixth shutout of the season.
The Gators now have a few days to rest up before their next game, against Phoenix Horizon on Wednesday (Jan. 13) at XCP’s Petznick Field.
