He covered high school sports on several occasions as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State sports. From 2008-14, he was a staff writer for, the web site of the Arizona Interscholastic Association.

Xavier finishes 9th in AMDG track meet

Xavier Prep’s track and field team finished ninth out of 16 teams in decathlon-type scoring for the AMDG Invitational on Thursday (March 10) at the Brophy Sports Campus.
Top individual finishers were senior Tessa Weiss in the 800-meter run (second, 2:16.73), junior Annie Grant in the 100-meter hurdles (second, 15.61), senior Teresa Roessler in the long jump (third, 17-0 ½) and Grant in the 300-meter hurdles (third, 45.86).
Xavier relay teams were fifth in the 4x100 (50.57), fourth in the 4x400 (4:12.87), and two teams in the 4x800, fourth (10:27.98) and fifth (10:31.91).
The Gators now set their sights on the prestigious Chandler Rotary meet, which will be held March 18 and 19 at Chandler High School.
