XCP picked up a 69-23 road victory over Glendale Mountain Ridge on Wednesday (Dec. 7), and the night before coasted to a 72-22 win at home over Mesa Mountain View.
Sophomore point guard Leilani McIntosh scored 17 points to lead the way against Mountain Ridge, and came up with five of the Gators’ 21 steals as a team. Juniors Katie Hassett and Montana Oltrogge worked well inside. Hassett had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Oltrogge had 15 points and 7 boards.
Against Mountain View, Oltrogge tallied 16 points and sophomore guard Paris Moore had 12.
Xavier’s next game will be Dec. 16 at home against Gilbert Perry. The Gators will follow that up with an appearance in the three-day Holiday Classic tournament at Mesa Red Mountain from Dec. 27-29.
