He covered high school sports on several occasions as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State sports. Distance runner Carter closes out career with win

Xavier Prep distance runner Sarah Carter capped off her brilliant career on Thursday (May 11) with a victory in the 1,600-meter run in the Arizona Meet of Champions at the Brophy Sports Campus.
Carter, who finished second in two events at the recent Division I state meet, had a time of 4:55.97 in the 1,600.
Three other Xavier runners competed in the event.
Sophomore Helen Innes was ninth at 5:22.16, freshman Mia Olsen was 11th at 5:26.94 and sophomore Karina Smith was 13th at 5:31.50.
