XCP lacrosse opens tourney at home

Xavier Prep’s club lacrosse team is the third-seeded team in the Arizona Girls Lacrosse Association state tournament and will begin play at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday (May 2) at Petznick Field against either Phoenix Horizon or Scottsdale Notre Dame Prep.
After a slow start to the season, the Gators have increased their output considerably on offense and have gone on to win seven straight games and are 9-3.
If Xavier wins, it would travel to either Phoenix Desert Vista or Scottsdale Chaparral on Thursday (May 4) at 7:15 p.m. The state championship game will be held at Phoenix Arcadia on Saturday (May 6) at 7:15 p.m.
