Xavier Prep’s swimming and diving team finished second to rival Scottsdale Chaparral over the weekend in the annual Brophy Prep/Xavier Prep Invitational at the Brophy Aquatics Center.

The Gators had some very good swims in the individual races.

Junior Vica Dow finished third in the 100-yard freestyle and fifth in the 200-yard individual medley. Freshman Gracie Munk was second in the 100-yard butterfly and third in the 200 IM.

Sophomore Sydney Millane was second in the 100-yard backstroke and junior Maddie Wright was third in the 500-yard freestyle.

Xavier also performed well in diving. Junior Maddy Sewell finished second and senior Alyssa Largay was fourth.

The girls will be back in the Brophy pool on Thursday (Sept. 27) for a two-way meet with Anthem Boulder Creek.

And Xavier will participate in the annual Phoenix Country Day School Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 29) at PCDS.
