Rasheed-Moore leads Gators over Desert Vista

Despite playing its third game in four nights, Xavier Prep’s basketball team was able to score a win on the road on Friday night (Dec. 7), 61-49 at Desert Vista in Ahwatukee.

Xavier raised its record to 9-0.

The Gators were led by senior guard Paris Rasheed-Moore, who tallied 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals. Junior guard-forward Elysia Fleetwood had 12 points, 6 steals and 4 rebounds.

Senior point guard Leilani McIntosh was saddled with foul trouble and was limited to three quarters. She still managed important contributions with 14 pointss 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Sophomore guard Mackenzie Coder picked up some of the slack off the bench with 5 points, 3 steals and a pair of rebounds.

Xavier will be back in Ahwatukee on Tuesday (Dec. 11) with a game against Phoenix Mountain Pointe. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
