Xavier Hotshots do well in Copper State event

Led by junior Megan Olson, four members of the Xavier Hotshots shooting team competed in the Copper State Open skeet-shooting event last weekend at the Ben Avery Shooting Range in north Phoenix.

Olson won her class by hitting 93 of 100 targets, including her first-ever perfect round of 25x25. To signify the effort, Olson tossed her hat into the air and she and her teammates shot it.

Sophomore Jaden Billeter finished second in her class with 92 of 100 targets.

Other Xavier participants were sophomore Bailey Claywell and junior Jessie Silverstein.
