Vote for Flynn, Donahey for Week 5 Player of Week

Gators, it’s time to vote!

Your candidates for Week 5 Softball Player of the Week for the azcentral.com media outlet are freshmen Riley Flynn and Bridget Donahey. Both were instrumental in Xavier’s 3-1 record this week.

Flynn posted a 3-0 record as a pitcher, including a no-hitter against a tough-hitting Chandler Hamilton team. She also hit a home run for the only run of the game that day at Hamilton (Wednesday) in a 1-0 victory. On Tuesday, she also hit a home run in a win over Mesa Mountain View at Xavier.

The Gators completed their busy week with a 9-3 road win over Phoenix Desert Vista. Flynn got the win, and Donahey went 4-for-4, including two home runs and two doubles, driving in five runs.
