DON KETCHUM is a native of Phoenix. He was a sportswriter for The Arizona Republic/The Phoenix Gazette for nearly four decades. He covered high school sports on several occasions as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State sports. From 2008-14, he was a staff writer for AIA365.com, the web site of the Arizona Interscholastic Association.

Gator lacrosse plays in deja vu cloud

It was a bad case of déjà vu for the club lacrosse team from Xavier Prep on Monday night (April 1).

The Gators, who fell 9-8 to Desert Vista in a road match on Feb. 27, fell again by the same 9-8 score on Monday night, this time at Xavier.

Xavier, now with a 4-4 record, returns to action on Wednesday (April 3) at home against Scottsdale Notre Dame Prep. First draw is at 5:30 p.m.
