Xavier badminton team appears to be on a roll

Xavier Prep appears to be developing a badminton team that is capable of having a strong regular-season record, which would in turn give the Gators confidence in the state tournament.

Xavier won its second match in as many days and third overall on Tuesday (Sept. 10), handling Phoenix Sandra Day O’Connor 8-1 at the Activity Center. The JV squad also finished with a win, 6-3 over SDO.

The Gators will host their third home match of the week on Thursday (Sept. 12), against Phoenix Pinnacle at 4 p.m. Xavier will participate in the annual Forner Invitational tournament on Saturday (Sept. 14) at Phoenix Sunnyslope.
