XCP volleyball quiets Queen Creek to go 11-0

Fresh off a championship run in the House of Payne Invitational over the weekend, the Xavier Prep volleyball team kept things rolling on Tuesday night (Sept. 10) with a 3-1 victory on the road against Queen Creek.

Scores were 25-14, 25-22, 22-25 and 25-12.

Xavier, now 11-0, has another road match on Thursday night (Sept. 12) at Phoenix Mountain Pointe in Ahwatukee.

Xavier’s first home contest, on Sept. 17, will feature a rematch against Tempe Corona del Sol, the team the Gators defeated for the 6A Conference state championship last season, Xavier’s second in a row.

The Gators also will play another home match the next night, on Sept. 18, against Scottsdale Chaparral, before heading to Las Vegas that weekend for the annual Durango Invitational.
