V-ball rolls, now plays regular-season finale

Xavier Prep’s volleyball team recorded a 3-0 sweep over visiting Chandler High on Monday night  (Oct. 28) and now turns its attention to Tuesday night’s (Oct. 29) regular-season finale at home against Chandler Hamilton.

The Gators are hoping for a reversal of their Oct. 16 match at Hamilton, which held on for a 3-2 victory.

Xavier (28-11) had a balanced effort against Chandler. Senior outside hitter Bri McKnight had 11 kills and two service aces. Senior outside hitter Juli Westfall had 10 kills.

Senior middle blocker Jasmine Knight paced the defense with six blocks. Junior defender Kaori Robertson had 14 digs, and sophomore Alexa Shiner had 34 assists.
