Xavier Prep’s cross-country team finished second and fifth, respectively in separate categories and junior Tatum Goforth won one of those two, the 5K Run Open Big Schools Session I in the Western Equinox Cross Country Festival on Saturday (Sept. 19) at Freestone Park in Chandler.
Goforth’s
effort of 20:19.3 enabled the Gators to finish second in that category, only
three points behind winner Gilbert Highland.
In the 5K
Run Varsity Big Schools Session I, Xavier finished fifth with 131 points. The
top individual for XCP was junior Ansley Burns, who was 18th at
19:57.2.
