Xavier
Prep continues to build its strong archery program with an excellent showing in
the Arete Tournament last weekend in the Valley. The event included the high
school target and 3D divisions.
Seven
Gator competitors finished in the top 10 of the high school target division and
two more received medals in the 3D division.

Senior
Alexandra Scott won the high school target division with a score of 279 and 16
bullseyes.
Following
close behind were Gator teammates Adela Campo (freshman), fourth place with a
264, sophomore Kylie Cavanagh, sixth with 259, sophomore Evelynn Papez, seventh
with 250, junior Ana Bhatti, 8th with 239, senior Ariana
Santana-Garcia, 9th with 236, and sophomore Sophie Pauly,10th
with 233.
In
the 3D division, Scott’s total of 279 was the highest score of the tournament,
earning her a first-place medal. Freshman Isabella Beninato eared a third-place
medal with 256, including 11 bullseyes.
Freshman
Adela Campbo was at 251 and placed fifth. Sophomore Alexa Ojeda placed seventh
and freshman Ellie Halaby was eighth.

to Head Coach Leslie Kanda and her XCP archers! You did Xavier proud!
