Lacrosse wins 5th straight, 2 left in regular season

Xavier Prep’s club lacrosse team is trying to finish its regular season with a flourish.

The Gators scored a season-high 23 goals on Tuesday (April 27) for a 23-7 Arizona Girls Lacrosse Association Division 2 victory over visiting Scottsdale Desert Mountain at Petznick Field. Xavier has now won five in a row to raise its record to 7-5.

It was the final home game of the regular season for XCP and now the Gators will play two road games to wrap up the regular season, on Thursday (April 29) at Cave Creek Cactus Shadows and Friday (April 30) at Gilbert Higley.

The AGLA is expected to have some initial tournament matches early next week, with finals on April 7. More information will be forthcoming once the regular season has been completed.
