Xavier Prep senior Gracie Munk is swimming toward one of the strongest seasons in the team’s history.
The latest
evidence of that came on Saturday (Oct. 16), when she won two individual events
and helped a couple of relay teams to impressive finishes in the Craig Cummins
Invitational at the Skyline Aquatic Center in east Mesa.
Munk and
fellow senior Hope Nolan finished 1-2 in the 100-yard butterfly. Munk also won
the 100-yard backstroke and led the parade in two second-place relay finishes,
the 200-yard medley and the 200-yard freestyle.
Xavier will
compete in a dual meet on Thursday (Oct. 21) against Phoenix Desert Vista at
the Brophy Prep Aquatic Center.
