Beach volleyball looks strong in match vs. Casteel

 Xavier Prep’s beach volleyball team raised its record to 4-0 on Wednesday (March 9) with a 5-0 victory over Queen Creek Casteel.

Four of the five pairs matches were 2-0 wins by the Gators, and the fifth (No.5) was played out in impressive fashion by Lauren Vanderwey and Emma Soderstrom. They dropped their first game to their Casteel opponent, 24-22, then rallied for 21-18, 15-7 wins to set the tone for their teammates.

The Gators will be back on the sand on March 16 when they face Mesa Westwood at Westwood.
