Defending champ Desert Mtn. hands Gators 1st loss

Scottsdale Desert Mountain looked every bit like the defending Division I tennis team champion on Thursday (March 3), earning a 7-2 victory over Xavier Prep at XCP’s Stark Tennis Center.

Xavier (2-1) got singles victories from sophomore Dani Dyer and sophomore Megan Wheeling, but was swept in doubles.

The Gators will return to action on Tuesday (March 8) with a road match at Chandler High.
