For those lacrosse fans who like plenty of offense, Wednesday night’s (March 16) club match between visiting Phoenix Desert Vista and Xavier Prep was anything but boring.
The two
teams combined for 42 goals, with Desert Vista taking a 23-19 win, in a contest
that lasted about 2 hours and 40 minutes, approximately 40 minutes longer than
a normal game, because the clock is stopped after each goal.

Also having
a productive evening for Xavier was junior Gigi Riviere, who had four goals.
And sophomore McKenna Boyer contributed three goals.
Xavier will
play its next match on the road on Friday (March 18), facing Tempe Corona del
Sol at the Benedict Sports Complex in Tempe, northwest corner of Kyrene and
Guadalupe roads. Action begins at 7 p.m. on Field #4.
