Beach finishes season 10-1, state starts April 18

 Xavier Prep’s beach volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with a 5-0 victory over Chandler High on Tuesday (April 11) at Casteel High in Queen Creek.

Xavier, which posted a 10-1 record during the year, now will turn its attention to the start of the Division I state tournament on April 18. The Gators are expected to have a home match with a high seeding, and with a win would host a quarterfinal match on April 20. Those matches begin at 4:30 p.m.

Semifinals and championship match will be April 25 and 27 at Casteel.
